Terms And Conditions

These terms and conditions are valid until 28th February 2010.


1. Terminology

In these conditions, except where the context otherwise defines:

‘Client’ means any company, firm, organisation, individual or other body or person for whom the Programme is provided.

'Company' means Resource Development International (RDI) Limited .

‘Programme’ means a programme of study by distance learning offered by the Company.

2. Applications

Clients wishing to join an RDI Programme must complete an application form and submit with other necessary documentation as specified within the RDI brochure. Applications must be received within a 12-month period prior to the commencement of the specified Programme. The Client must satisfy the entry requirements for the selected Programme and provide appropriate evidence, in order to be considered.

If the Client is a resident of the UK they confirm that they are legally resident in the UK.

The Client understands and accepts that the offer of a place on a Programme will not satisfy UK Border Agency requirements for a UK residency visa.

The Company understands that a Programme can be studied from anywhere in the world and a UK residency visa is not a pre-requisite.

The Client understands and accepts not to use any communication issued by the Company or one of its university partners to obtain or extend a UK residency visa without the prior written permission of the Company.

The Client understands and accepts that any attempt to falsely obtain a UK residency visa on the grounds of studying a Programme will result in immediate termination of their Programme.

The Client understands and accepts that should they seek out or receive support for their Programme from any third party without the prior written permission of the Company then this will result in immediate termination of their Programme.

3. Overseas students

RDI is able to accept international students. Fees may vary and acceptance will depend upon the Programme availability. Individual Clients may be referred to a local RDI centre and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the local centre.

4. Programme fees

RDI Programme fees may not include registration or membership of relevant professional bodies. Please refer to RDI fees.

Payment of the full fee, minimum deposit or an official company sponsorship letter must accompany all Client applications. Instalments will only be available to individual clients. Fee payment via company sponsorship must be made in full, upon receipt of an invoice. Where an invoice is raised, fees are payable within 14 days from the date of the invoice. In all circumstances, a company sponsoring an application is responsible for payment of the full fees due. In the event of assessment failure a £50 re-assessment fee will be payable.

RDI reserves the right to cancel the issuing of Programme materials, tutor support and assessment in the event of non-payment of Programme fees.

RDI reserves the right to change the fees without prior notice. Programme fees charged will be those set at time of application. RDI reserves the right to levy additional fees if the awarding body increases their fees.


5. Programme duration and content

Tutor support will be available for the duration of a Programme as detailed in the RDI brochure. After this time tutor support will cease.

Programme materials

Client Programme materials in conjunction with tutor support are designed to provide the information required to successfully complete the Programme. Additional reading recommendations are available for areas of special interest to Clients and these should be purchased by the Client separately as appropriate.

A timetable is designed to help the Client to prepare for assessment. It is recommended that Clients follow the guidelines given. If Clients are not able to meet assessment deadlines they must contact their tutor or the RDI office, immediately. Failure to meet assessment deadlines may result in an additional fee, depending upon the Programme studied.

Assignments should be returned to the Clients’ tutor or programme co-ordinator as appropriate, these will be marked and relevant feedback provided. Resubmission of assignments may be possible, at the discretion of RDI and the accrediting partner.

Where it is specified, RDI will register Clients for examinations. For all other Programmes it will be necessary for the Client to contact the relevant professional body to arrange examinations directly. Responsibility for these arrangements will lie with the Client.

6. Cancellation

If during the first 30 days, from first receipt of programme materials, Clients are not completely satisfied then RDI will refund in full the Client fees paid. Clients may also cancel under these terms:

Cancellation within first 30 days:

A full refund of the Programme fees paid will be provided during the first 30 days, from first receipt of programme materials. The refund will be subject to the return of programme material in original condition, received by RDI at the time of the refund request. The client must meet any expenses incurred in returning materials, directly. The refund request must be made in writing to RDI.

Promotional offers

Refund of goods purchased under a promotional offer will be based on the terms of the promotional price.

Short online courses

For all short online courses no refunds will be given. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Modular courses

For all modular courses the 30 day money back guarantee is only applicable to the first module of the course.

7. Termination and withdrawal of programmes

The Client understands and accepts that the Company reserves the right to modify, withdraw or terminate any Programme at any time without prior notice.

The Client understands and accepts that the Company reserves the right to terminate any individual's Programme at any time and without prior notice.

The Company is not oblidged to provide reasons regarding termination or withdrawal of any Programme to any parties.

8. Refer a friend

To be eligible to refer a friend you must be a current RDI UK student or enquirer. Both you and your friend must enrol on RDI courses worth over £1000 to be eligible to receive £100 worth of high street gift vouchers each. For modular courses this offer is only valid once £1000 threshold has been reached by both parties. There is no limit on the number of friends you can refer. You will receive £100 worth of vouchers for every friend who enrols on a course. We will dispatch £100 worth of gift vouchers from your chosen High Street store to you and your friend 30 days after both you and your friend have commenced the course. If you withdraw from the course within 30 days of receiving your materials then you and your friend will no longer be eligible to receive the gift vouchers. This offer only applies to students who enrol through RDI UK. This offer is valid for 12 months from the receipt of your friend's application. You cannot refer a friend who has already submitted an application or enrolled onto the programme. No cash alternative available. RDI's decision about referral is final.

This offer is only valid for enrolments from 18th August 2006 onwards. Enrolments prior to this date will qualify for the previous refer a friend offer of £100 worth of high street gift vouchers for the referrer.

To be eligible for the increased £150 vouchers during Refer A Friend Week, a refer a friend form must be submitted between 8-12 February 2010. Only submissions from 8-12 February 2010 will be considered for the additional reward of £50 for referrer and £50 for referree. All standard refer a friend terms and conditions apply.

9. Monthly Payments

Monthly Payments option is only open to applications before 15th May 2009 and students enrolling after 6th January 2009 and before the 15th of May 2009. Monthly payments offer is restricted to Edexcel HNCs, HNDs and University Wales MBA courses. Offer is only available to applicants able to enter into a direct debit agreement. If monthly payments are not maintained, access to your course may be restricted and students will be automatically reverted to modular payments. RDI reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time and any final decisions on applicability remain with RDI.

10. Offers, vouchers and incentives

A £50 Gift from a friend voucher has the following conditions:
Voucher is valid for new enrolments only. User must enrol between 5th January – 31st April 2009. £50 will be deducted from fee for second module. This offer can not be used in conjunction with any other offer. 

11. Communications opt-in

By registering you consent to receive communications from RDI using your registered details, for the time being. Any personal data collected through our websites will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

12. Payment/Bank charges

When making payment by bank transfer the student will be liable for all transfer fees incurred. 

13. Website Terms and Conditions

Your use of the information, graphics and materials on any of the Company websites is governed by these WEBSITE TERMS & CONDITIONS.

Jurisdiction
Our websites are provided primarily for use by residents of the United Kingdom.  The laws applicable to disputes arising from material on our websites are the laws of England and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Acceptance of and Changes to our Website Terms & Conditions You acknowledge and accept that your use of our websites indicates your acceptance of these WEBSITE TERMS & CONDITIONS.  We reserve any rights not expressly granted in these WEBSITE TERMS & CONDITIONS.
