Anglia Ruskin University was awarded university status in 1992. With a student population of 25,500 and campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford, it is one of the largest universities in the East of England. The Department of Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University was rated the UK's top psychology department in a new university for the quality of its research by the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) in 2008. Psychology is one of nine subjects at Anglia Ruskin University rated 'Excellent' by the Sunday Times University Guide 2008.

The Anglia Ruskin University BSc (Hons) Psychology (Applied) is normally studied over three years or four years, but this may be extended to suit your individual needs for up to a maximum of nine years. 

Entry Requirements

The standard entry requirements are as follows:
  •  Two A levels passes (at Grade E or above) or equivalent. Plus 3 GCSEs in other subjects including Maths and English at Grade C or above.
  • English language ability equivalent to one of the following:
-          IELTS 6.0
-          TOEFL 550 paper based (213 computer based or 80 internet based)
-          TOEIC 660
-          Cambridge FCE Grade C+ or CAE Grade C/FCE A/B
-          C & G Pitman Intermediate or Higher Intermediate
-          IGCSE Grade C

Please note that applicants whose educational qualifications do not meet the entry requirements will be considered on an individual basis.
