RDI Launches University Of Wales Pay as you go Degree as Student Debt Soars

August 28, 2007 - Those who want to gain a university degree in order to boost their future earnings, but without incurring massive debts now, are being offered a cost effective alternative to on-campus study this Autumn by Coventry based company RDI (http://www.rdi.co.uk ) - in the form of a University of Wales fully online BA (Hons) Business degree.

The course has quarterly start dates throughout the year with a continuous 52 week academic calendar and no campus attendance requirement, offering students the maximum flexibility to study where and when they want. The modular format of the programme also means that students can 'pay as they go', and take breaks from their studies if their circumstances change.

This latest programme adds to RDI's broad portfolio of distance learning degrees in Business, Psychology, Business Computing, Tourism and Hospitality, Accountancy and Financial Management. The BA and BSc programmes are all from leading UK Universities such as University of Sunderland, University of Derby, Sheffield Hallam University, and the University of Teesside. Importantly all qualifications offer the same status as those studied on-campus and students will be awarded exactly the same certificate.

Dr Phil Hallam, CEO, comments: "It has been reported that it will take the average student 11 years to pay off their student debt - RDI's pay-as-you-go system means that individuals can start a degree for as little as £360 and pace their learning so they never have to get into debt at all. Our courses are designed to allow students to contextualise and apply their learning to their job as they study, so the fact that this study format also makes it possible for students to work full-time is ideal. By the end of their studies, students could not only be debt free but also three years further ahead in their careers than their on-campus counterparts.

The collaboration between RDI and The University of Wales combines RDI's global reputation for providing UK university distance learning education with The University of Wales' excellent academic standing as the second largest degree awarding body in the UK.

RDI partners with UK universities to offer distance learning courses.
