Avoid the Debt Trap of University Education with Distance Learning Courses from RDI

September 07, 2007 - The average student will leave university after graduation with a debt of up to £30,000 [Telegraph 14/8/2007]. Despite the concessions made on payment terms, it is still a debt and has to be repaid. For prudent students, a more affordable option is to study by distance learning, thanks to a range of courses from Resource Development International (RDI - http://www.rdi.co.uk ).

With RDI's distance learning courses, the total tuition costs are comparative to campus study costs: however, vast savings can be made overall by using this model, meaning students can graduate debt-free.

A key benefit is that distance learning programmes mean students can earn while they learn, as the courses don't take up all their time. Whereas an on-campus university programme commits a student to a condensed 30 weeks per year, distance learning study is spread over the entire year and can be undertaken when the student wants, giving much freedom.

With BA and BSc programmes from leading institutions such as University of Sunderland, Teesside University, Sheffield Hallam University and University of Wales - and subjects ranging from Business, Management and Finance to IT and Hospitality Management - a comprehensive choice of courses is available from RDI to suit most students.

All programmes are specifically structured for distance learning study and designed with working people in mind. Students can "pay as they go" and avoid the crippling debt that many face when they graduate.

Dr Philip Hallam, CEO, comments: "RDI's university partnerships and the range of programmes on offer show an inclusive way forward for university education. No longer do working people have to be phased by the high costs or prospect of giving up their jobs to obtain a university degree. Work-based learning is part of the government's mantra in education and that's exactly what we are delivering."
