Course: BA (Hons) Business & Management
"I live in the UK, in London. I work full-time for Euroclear (our core business in the UK is to provide the securities settlement service to the UK financial market).
I chose a BA in Business and Management as I wanted to compliment my vocational experience with a recognized academic qualification. As I was doing a great deal of travel with work, distance learning presented the best opportunity to gain such a qualification. The course not only provided the necessary flexibility that you don’t get with a classroom-based course, but it enabled me to make productive use of time away from home. I evaluated the options available from other distance learning providers and the accelerated timetable of a 2-year HND, plus 1-year top-up with the University of Sunderland, was consistent with my own personal objectives.
My experience of studying with RDI has been first rate. The process of enrolment was straightforward, and gave a good first impression. The support I have received from Course Administrators, Tutors, and support staff has been outstanding. Enquiries or requests have been responded to promptly, and when I took a short leave of study absence I received all the support I required. For urgent matters there was always someone willing and able at the end of the phone to help.
As already mentioned, distance learning was the best option for me to gain my degree. It allowed me to plan my study time around my work and home schedule. I was able to make allowances within my schedule for particularly busy periods at work or unavoidable personal commitments. This would have been a considerable challenge had I chosen a different method of study.
I have gained considerable knowledge from my BA Business and Management which I am applying in my every day work. More than that however, it has help to develop some of the softer skills, such as critical analysis and constructive writing. I plan to take a 12 month break from studying, and then apply for a postgraduate course.
I would have no hesitation in recommending RDI to friends or colleagues."
