Finance and Law
Finance and law represent key areas of the professions. The RDI staff teaching on these programmes hold relevant academic or professional qualifications and are experienced tutors. Like our other tutors they are appointed in accordance with our rigorous selection criteria and are all approved by our university partners. All our staff have a commitment to developing their subject specialism and many are actively undertaking consultancy or publishing research. A list of staff with their subject interests is given below.
Those interested in pursuing interests in law can take a law degree. Our LLB is validated by Anglia Ruskin University and is valued not only by those interested in a career in law but for those who have an interest in the subject. Graduates from law degrees have skills in analysis and problem solving that are of value in many careers. Experienced managers interested in a postgraduate award can study an MBA with a law specialism. This gives a grounding in key functional areas of business and management and an opportunity to look at how the law adds an extra dimension to managerial decision making.
There is also a Finance route available through the MBA for those managers interested in specialising in that area. This focuses on financial aspects of decision making as well as providing the breadth of functional and strategic management demanded of an MBA. An HND (Finance), validated by Edexcel, provides opportunities for students interested in an undergraduate award. This gives a firm foundation in accounting and finance and can be topped up to a full degree.
