A UK University master's degree is a postgarduate qualification awarded after the completion of normally one to two years of study. A Masters degree can be a Master of Arts (MA) or a Master of Science (MSc) usually dependent on the subject nature, and they may be course-based, research-based, or more typically, a mixture of the two.
Many people seek master’s degrees (MA’s or MSc’s) to advance in their careers. Others seek master’s degrees to change careers. For example, someone with a bachelor’s degree in English could study a more specialised subject such as management or public administration at Masters level and earn themselves a MBA or MA Public Administration.
Study by Distance LearningStudying a UK University master's degree course at home by distance learning is more cost effective than studying full-time on campus, allowing the individual to continue to work and to develop their career at the same time. Potential employers frequently recognise and value the commitment made by an individual studying by distance learning or online. Studying a Masters degree by online or distance learning through RDI means you receive all the learning materials and tutor support you need to succeed.
On enrolment on a distance learning master's degree course each individual is allocated a tutor for academic support who can be contacted by email and telephone. Each individual will also have access to a student support co-ordinator who will be there for administrative advice to make the master's degree learning experience successful and enjoyable.
