A) In my own home, with my husband and 19 year old step son
Q) Do you work full-time or part-time?
A) I am currently researching setting up my own consultancy business,
offering skills training, coaching and sales force effectiveness advise
to healthcare companies
Q) Why did you choose RDI?
A) Primarily because of the flexibility of being able to study online at
my own pace and being able to spread the cost of this. Secondly because
of the global reach of RDI which enables me to interact with a wide
variety of people, from a vast range of public, private and voluntary
organisations. The different cultural and professional perspectives
adds to the richness of the study which could not be gained at a local
university.
Q) Did you always think you'd be studying for your qualifications?
A) No, the changing environment within the industry I worked in led me to
undertake the MBA to become more holistically qualified and broaden my
career options
Q) Any issues or adversity along the way?
A) Adversity in terms of redundancy within my industry and the shrinking
size which led me to take the decision to study for the MBA
Q) How has Higher Education changed your career, personal life or you as a person?
A) It as enabled me to deepen my knowledge of the business world which is
helping me to research my own business and formulate realistic plans to
launch a successful business
Q) What do you believe are the main benefits of distance learning?
A) The flexibility and global reach of the programme
Q) What will your qualification give you?
A) It will help me to extend my consultancy business outside the area of healthcare.
Q) Anything you'd like to add?
A) I would and have recommended RDI to other people considering the MBA
due to the reach and diversity of the students on the course which adds
to the richness and depth.
