Q) Why did you choose RDI?
A) Provided a course in the area that I wanted to study
Q) Did you always think you'd be studying for your qualifications?
A) I have been considering this course since leaving the UK in April 2008.
I have experience in tourism management and hope to move to Canada
after this posting and set up a tourism related business there. I have
spent the first year settling down in a new country.
Q) Any issues/adversity along the way?
A) Nothing regarding the course but lots to do with leaving a familiar home and working environment.
Q) How has Higher Education changed your career, personal life or you as a person?
A) I have just started the course, so I am hoping that it will give me a
sense of purpose that has been missing since leaving the UK.
Q) What do you believe are the main benefits of distance learning?
A) Learning at you're own pace and ability study at times suited to the individual.
Q) What will your qualification give you and what is next?
A) My highest qualification is HNC in Business & Finance. I would like
to have gained a degree qualification by the time I leave Oman. We are
applying for permanent residence in Canada and if sucessful a degree
should be of benefit to my future career once we move there.
Q) Anything you'd like to add?
I just hope that I have the self discipline to see the course through after the initial burst of enthusiasm.
