Q) Which course are you currently studying?
A) BA (Hons) Business (Marketing)
Q) What are your living circumstances?
A) Well, I am a father of two boys and living with my wife in a small flat (you know the HK size is small, ha ha).
Q) Do you work full-time or part-time and where?
A) I was working in an international logistics company call Schenker. Due
to the econ. is so bad worldwide, they decided to fire a big number of
their staff. Latest in first out and now I am unemployed. Have been
working in shipping industry over 15 years after 6 years study in UK.
Now, just want to complete this degree programe and get a new job ASAP.
Q) Why did you choose RDI?
A) I found RDI on the web searching, lucky me.
Q) Did you always think you'd be studying for your qualifications?
A) Not at all. My work needs to deal with different kinds of customers,
salesman and lots of marketing reports. And I need to know all these
tasks to live, and educate myself well.
Q) Any issues/adversity along the way?
A) Not really.
Q) How has Higher Education changed your career, personal life or you as a person?
A) Well, a higher education does help on my career of course and the most
important is to help me to widen my mind, my vision. To let me control
my work and take my thinking further, a step forward.
Q) What do you believe are the main benefits of distance learning?
A) Oh, the time control. I joined RMIT before in 2002 and stopped after
three months due to my work required me to travel and I missed the
classes.
Q) What will your qualification give you and what is next?
A) I am sure that it will benefit me after I complete this course -
both my career and myself. And I might go for a MBA, life-time learning.
Q) Anything you'd like to add?
Can't think of any special at the moment. I am now very happy to continue my education and RDI really helps me, thank you.
