RDI are committed to ensuring quality
Our processes are in compliance with the QAA code of practice, which provides guidance on maintaining quality and standards throughout the UK higher education sector. RDI has an Academic Board in place which has responsibility for academic standards across its provision. In addition to this RDI is subject to regular scrutiny from its partner institutions. These measures, together with the close relationships we have developed with our university partners, ensure that academic quality is maintained.
- Induction - All students are required to undertake an online induction which includes guidance on study skills development, introduction to the learning environment, introduction to staff and peers and a compulsory quiz to ensure understanding of regulations and assessment before commencing study.
- Materials - RDI's online learning material is developed by subject specialists. Its content is reviewed and updated regularly as part of RDI's quality assurance cycle to ensure that it is current and fit for purpose.
- Online Tutor Support - Our tutors proactively support students through the learning process. RDI's online tutors have significant experience of teaching and assessment within the UK higher education sector. Our tutors are experts in their fields with appropriate academic qualifications, professional standing, subject knowledge and scholarly record needed for their roles.
- Assessment - Assessments take a variety of forms and cover the learning outcomes of modules as well as the development of relevant skills. Written feedback is provided on all coursework and examinations. Our robust quality processes are in place to ensure that assessments are marked fairly, consistently and to the approriate standard. All of our assessment activity is subject to scrutiny of External Examiners.
