"I work full time at John Myland Ltd, who are a paint and wood-finishes manufacturer. (We supply all wood wax and polishes to every palace and castle in the UK, and we supply paint to the movie industry – our paints were used on the Harry Potter sets!)

I started my career off at Costa Coffee while I was at university studying my degree, which was in Marketing. I then spent some time at the Cornish Pasty Company where I moved from a supervisor to an area manager. I then moved to Dulux as an assistant manager and I am now the Sales and Marketing Manager at Mylands.

My current employer is a 125 year old company, with many loyal employees who have been there a long time. I feel that studying my MBA has allowed me to introduce some new concepts to help drive the business forward and create growth. I feel that I have used the knowledge I gained (specifically from the Marketing module) to improve our business and sales are improving due to it.

I enjoy my role very much and I definitely think that I am using lots of knowledge from my MBA in my job every day.

My MBA has changed me personally in that I now feel confident to make decisions faster and I can deal with conflict easier."
