Many of the degree pathways offered through RDI are broken down into three stages - each one is an internationally recognised award and builds on the previous stage - allowing you the freedom to decide how quickly you wish to study.

Your THREE steps to degree graduation
HNC means...
Higher National Certificate and is equivalent to the first year of a 3 year degree (12 months)
HND means...
Higher National Diploma and is equivalent to the second year of a 3 year degree (12 months)
Top-up means...
A Degree top-up (BA or BSc) and is equivalent to the third year of a 3 year degree (12 months)

In other words...
You can still graduate after 3 years!
If you complete each of the three elements through RDI you will be awarded a full UK university degree. Normally students with RDI will take 3 years to achieve this progression. It effectively splits your 3 years of study into three manageable parts.
The BIG benefits for you
If your studies are halted after completing your HNC or HND then you still receive that award – and this can be used later on in your career as a stepping stone to a degree top-up. It really is the most flexible way to study for your degree!
Exemptions may be available to you
 Because our pathways are flexible we can tailor a programme to suit you. Therefore you may be eligible to begin at the second or even third year of your degree pathway.
