The dog
When am I avoiding re-reading the essay and when does the dog actually need a bath? I officially have the cleanest dog in my village, due to my avoidance of studying. I hate checking grammar more than I hate cleaning an animal, who, in the wild would not naturally be lathered and rinsed. Or have cuddles while watching the fox in the speckled hen adverts.
Mr C is right to send me back into the office, which I demanded to have to "help me concentrate". But then when I hear those little paws tapping around the living room I just want to peep through the banisters.
No, I tell myself. The more I study - the more dogs I can have. If the prize system works, those points are as good as any to buy dogs or clothes. (Mr C won’t be happy about that though).
My fuel for studying
Chocolate is my fuel. Especially when I am writing essays or revising for exams. Again though, it is difficult to decide whether it is an item of procrastination or something of a driver to study more.
It takes time to walk to the shop and ponder over the different types of chocolate and what type of mood I am in. Do I want Galaxy or Cadburys, and am I in a minty mood or caramel? The Aero is Buy-One-Get-One-Free, shall I just get two packets and save myself a trip tomorrow? There are so many questions to ask when choosing the fuel of the day. Oh dear, there I go again, procrastinating.
But where would I be without it? I may be a stone lighter but I doubt I would finish my essay on time. It is a thing of perfect balance. I shall have to take up running to counterbalance the amount of chocolate needed for this exam!!
Happy birthday...
