Graduates with an HND / degree in Business and Management have a very wide range of employment options open to them. The most popular destinations for recent graduates in these subject areas include roles in business, human resources, finance, marketing PR and sales. A significant amount of recent graduates start their careers at management level though the majority will normally gravitate towards this level through dedicated training schemes and gradual promotion. A typical degree in this area is vocationally orientated in nature and will allow you to explore a range of employment avenues prior to graduation. With the graduate recruitment market slowly returning to pre-recession levels and the vast range of opportunities open in general business areas there is cause for optimism for Business and Management graduates. Graduate recruitment is at its highest level since 2007 with the biggest growth in vacancies within the public sector employers, accounting & professional services firms, City investment banks, retailers and engineering &industrial companies – all potential sources of employment for Business and Management graduates.

The greatest growth in opportunities is in consultancy roles with consultancy firms, such as Accenture and PriceWaterhouseCooper, looking to recruit graduates to junior analyst roles often a stepping stone into consultancy positions.
