Why choose a Distance Learning HND with RDI?
Studied mostly in colleges or online, an HND is equivalent to the first two years of a degree. Upon completion of this a student can then go on to study a degree top-up course to obtain full undergraduate honours.
Dependent on your eligibility, you can receive funding to study an online HND and carry this funding through to completing a degree top-up.

Our distance learning HND courses are a popular choice for people with work or family commitments, as they are truly flexible and can be moulded around your schedule.
You will of course still have access to an extensive support network to ensure that you get the best possible result from your studies. During the first year of your Online HND we provide you with extra and targeted support in order to help you get to grips with the discipline of distance learning.

What are my Career Opportunities with a HND?
An online HND course can be studied as a stand-alone programme or can form part of a three-year degree pathway. Successful completion of the course allows direct entry to a one-year top-up to Honours Degree.
The opportunities are different with every course, for example you can use your HND alone to further your career depending on what route you want to go down, or you can use it to continue down the route of education as part of a three-year degree programme. Successful completion of your HND through distance learning allows direct entry to a one-year top-up to Honours Degree.
Am I Eligible?
The general entry requirements to study an HND online are an A Level pass or equivalent, with an English language ability equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
Applicants whose educational qualifications do not meet the standard entry requirements but have at least 2 years’ full-time work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
How Much Does an Online HND Cost?
In order to determine the cost of your course, certain factors must be considered, such as: your location, whether you choose to pay in full or opt for flexible modular payments. Click here to view all the fee options.
If you live in England or Wales, you could apply for a Student Loan to cover the cost of your studies. This is funded through the Government and means you don’t have to pay any fees up front to enrol. It is not income assessed and doesn’t appear on credit records, so it isn’t like a normal bank loan. Repayments are only made once you’re earning over £21,000 after graduation, and even then are only £7 per month.
